Mike and Cindy Neeley own The Neeley Center for Health, a multi-disciplinary natural health clinic in Madison, Alabama; specializing in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Pastoral Counseling, Rapid Eye Technology, and Nutritional Counseling and Supplementation. The story of their individual paths bringing them together in mid-life to do the work they do is yet another testament to God’s greater plan of doing all great things in His time, not theirs.
Cindy is an Ordained Minister and Pastoral counselor from Woodland, California, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, and over 20 years experience in her field. She has counseled and ministered throughout the world to groups both large and small, and to individuals of all backgrounds and faiths. She moved to Madison, Alabama in 2001 to complete her degree in Theology. While there, she learned of the millennia old practice of using Oriental Medicine to stabilize the emotions as well as to heal the physical body and bring about balance to all aspects of the individual. She is a very sought after minister, speaker, author, singer and song writer with many CDs, meditations, and counseling programs in her portfolio.
Mike’s first love was not medicine but aviation. After beginning his aviation career as a commercial pilot at age 18, he went on to a 20 year flying career which include the position of Captain with 2 airlines, numerous corporations, the State of Alabama, and 5 years piloting the private jet for the country music group “AlabamA.” In his mid 30’s, Mike’s life focus shifted to serving a greater purpose, so he began a different path in biomedical science. After 5 years training in western medicine and 6 years in Oriental Medicine, Mike received his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine specializing in women’s health. He is a Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. His training includes 4 years at the prestigious Bastyr University in Seattle, WA and 4 years at The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, TX.
In 2003 Mike and Cindy met in Alabama and began referring clients back and forth in an effort to foster healing on both the emotional and physical levels. The value of this dual approach to healing was very quickly realized and they decided to open a new clinic which would incorporate all aspects of the healing process emphasizing emotional and nutritional healing and health. At the same time, they met a man who was to become a life-long friend, colleague and mentor, Ladd McNamara, M.D.
Mike had undertaken a 2-year study to secure the very best nutritional supplements available for their clients. Family friends, Hilda and Ken Geci introduced Mike and Cindy to Dr. Ladd McNamara and the company they all now represent and that search for the optimal nutritional supplement was successfully completed!
Mike and Cindy, beginning as colleagues and friends soon found their love for each other growing by the day. Their success of helping their clients by recommending USANA's nutritonal supplements in their clinical setting grew exponentially as well. Today, Mike and Cindy are very happily married and their clinical practices and home-based businesses are growing beyond all expectations. They now live an ever-expanding life; engaged in helping others meet and exceed their personal, emotional, health, and financial goals.
